  •  What is Rewarding Work?

Rewarding Work, a web-based service located at www.RewardingWork.org, is designed to assist older Vermonters and residents with disabilities of all ages, their families, and parents of children with disabilities to access a comprehensive database of paid caregivers.

  •   How much does access to www.RewardingWork.org cost? Is this service free to Vermonters?

Unfortunately, Rewarding Work’s contract with Vermont’s Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living expired on November 30, 2018. Free subscriptions through Vermont’s statewide access code are not available at this time. Individuals and families who wish to subscribe to Rewarding Work are welcome to use our paid subscription option: 1 month: $10.00; 3 months: $25.00; 6 months: $50.00; 12 months: $90.00.

  •   Why would I want this service?

As an employer, it allows you to find the support you need in your community. There will soon be hundreds of people completing applications on Rewarding Work in Vermont who are looking to become paid caregivers. They have the skills to assist you in living independently or to provide the services needed by your loved one. Rewarding Work gives you choice and control to find and hire the people you would like to work with.

  •   How does it work?

Rewarding Work helps employers to access a wide group of potential paid caregivers. It helps to connect people looking for assistance with individuals who are looking for employment opportunities. With a simple click of a mouse, individuals can find the match that best meets their needs.

  •   How do I login?

After you register, you will receive a password by email. The first time you use the password you will be asked to change it. You will need to use your username (email address) and password each time you login to your account. You can view the Rewarding Work website without logging into the website but to contact potential employees or employers or to post a job, you have to have an account and you have to be logged in to your account.

  •   How do I get started using Rewarding Work?

Employers need to create an employer account. Click here to create an employer account.

  •  What if I need help using Rewarding Work?

(NOTE: State funded programs including: Developmental Disabilities Services, Children’s Personal Care Services, the Attendant Services Program, the Traumatic Brain Injury program, or Choices for Care [which also includes Flexible Choices and Moderate Needs] require that employers/employees complete the ARIS employee enrollment packet (including background checks) prior to services being provided. ARIS is the Fiscal Agent contracted by the State of Vermont. Employers submit the employee timesheets to ARIS. ARIS provides the payment to employees via direct deposit or check and completes all payroll function for the employer.  ARIS Solutions is NOT the employer. The paid caregiver is employed by the individual receiving services or by a surrogate employer chosen by the person receiving services.)
