How it works

Residents of Rhode Island with disabilities who participate in PersonalChoice , Respite or PASS may be eligible to receive a free long-term subscription to Rewarding Work. To learn more, contact your Advisement Agency or CEDARR Family Centers for additional information.

  1. First establish an account by clicking here.
  2. Then you search the list of available care providers.
  3. After you find one or more people who meet your specific needs, you contact them by phone or email to arrange an interview.
  4. When you find someone who meets your needs and who wants to work for you, you hire that person. Click here for hiring tips.

(Note: State funded programs have their own procedures for hiring a worker. If you have questions, please contact the agency that is assisting you.)

This service is a subscription service. If you do not participate in the above programs, you may pay a small fee to get unlimited access to names of all available care providers.  Subscriptions are for as short a period as one month, or for up to one year. Click here to find out about services and fees.

Job candidates in the Rewarding Work database have NOT been screened in any way and their backgrounds have NOT been checked. That is your responsibility as an employer.

You may need additional assistance identifying, interviewing, conducting reference and national background checks or becoming the employer of record. Click here for more information.
