Rewarding Work is a Web-based service at www.rewardingwork.org designed to assist Connecticut residents with disabilities of all ages and their families to hire their own staff. Through the combination of the Internet and a toll-free telephone number, Rewarding Work allows consumers to connect with qualified care providers throughout Connecticut.
If you receive services from the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS), you are eligible for a free long-term subscription. Contact your case manager or support broker for an access code and more information.
If you do not receive services from DDS, you may still access the list of care providers after you pay a small fee. The fee will allow you unlimited access to the names and information of all available care providers for a period as short as one month, or as long as one year.
You may purchase a subscription to Rewarding Work for 1-month for only $10; 3-months for just $25. Increase your savings by purchasing a 6-month subscription for only $50 and a super low price of $90 for a whole year of service.
It allows you, the consumer, to hire the support you need. Hundreds of people, who are looking for work as personal care assistants, are currently registered with Rewarding Work in Connecticut. They have the skills to assist you in living independently. Rewarding Work gives you choice and control.
Rewarding Work lets you choose from a wide group of potential employees. It assists you by making the search process for support staff much easier.
